The "Maddy Wagon"
The Carolina Sunrise is more than just a fishing boat—it’s a classic 30 ’ Harkers Island vessel built by Alex Willis of Morehead City, NC, and perfectly tailored for Outer Banks fishing adventures. This “Maddy Wagon”-style boat blends old-school charm with modern tech, making it both a beauty and a beast on the water.
Powered by a reliable 350 HP Yamaha (4-stroke) engine and equipped with a sight casting tower, the Carolina Sunrise is a fish-spotting machine, perfect for finding schools of feeding fish and reeling in the big ones. Thanks to a hydraulic jack plate, it glides effortlessly into shallow spots other boats can’t reach, giving you an edge in tight nooks and crannies around the pamlico Sound.
But don’t think this setup is limited to the sound. With a range that stretches up to 25 miles offshore, Captain Beatson and the Carolina Sunrise can take you on an inshore adventure you won’t forget. Whether it’s hooking into monster cobia, battling giant drum, or just enjoying the thrill of the open water, this boat is your ticket to big catches and even bigger grins.
