How many people can come?
We are licensed to take 4 guests on our boat.
Where should we meet you?
Meet us at the state boat launch at Pirate's Cove in Nags Head, NC. Here's a nice little Google Map for you
What can we expect to catch in the spring?
Spring on the Outer Banks can show you all kinds of weather. There are days where it is darn cold with whipping Nor' East winds, (good for Trout and Drum) and then there are days when that sun pops out and we get a taste of the hot summer that awaits us (Cobia and Drum). Plan for rain, sun, wind, and a combination of all three when you book a Carolina Sunrise charter this spring. We'll start to see some of those giant Red Drum also called Redfish down south, show up in our waters early April off Hatteras and Ocracoke shoals and beaches and we are the Outer Banks fishing charter to take you to the action! Early May thru July is the best time for cobia. When weather permits, we make sightcasting Cobia our priority and love to put people on their first fish! Trout, Flounder, Sheepshead and more will keep the "light tackle" guys very happy thru the windy days of Spring! Nothing beats a late afternoon "tideline cruise" while we scout out some of my favorite, "secret" Cobia hangouts....
What can we expect to catch in the summer?
Summer time and the living is easy! We're going to see lots of inshore action fishing the Outer Banks during the summer. If you'd like to line up a Cobia Removal Tour, this would be a good time to do it. But there's lots of mixed Trout, Flounder, Striper, Blues and Spanish Mackerel to be had in the NC inshore fishing waters, not just Drum and Cobia. We just happen to enjoy targeting them with the pleasant weather : ).
Late summer is also a great time for us to travel up to Virginia where we'll fish the Chesapeake Bay for "HUGE" schools of Red Drum and "MOBS" of Cobia after June and the bite slows on the Outer Banks. We continue to see "OUTSTANDING" fishing from July thru September in the Va Beach area. So if the area then, hit us up and we'll drive down! We'll be on the hunt for trophy flounder on these trips in between so give us a call!
What can we expect to catch in the fall?
Fall is the glory season here on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The traffic has calmed, the water is still warm, and there are plenty of fish to catch. Carolina Sunrise is the Outer Banks fishing charter that will take you to the Cobia, Drum, Trout, Flounder and Striper. This is the time to bring out the “top water plugs” for those FAT, hungry Trout and Reds. It reminds a lot of customers of fishing for bass. Tick, tick, tick, BOOOOM!! Don't forget about our sunset cruises. This is the perfect time to be on the water when the sun is going down! Relaxing with friends and family on one of these trips will be hard to replace....

What can we expect to catch in the winter?
Winter fishing along the Outer Banks of North Carolina isn't just for the diehards. You'll find good striper (weather depending) and bottom fishing along the NC nearshore waters. This is the trophy trout season! We're the Outer Banks fishing charter that loves to fish for monster trout. Ask Capt. Aaron where to get ‘em?
Winter is a good time for us to travel up to Virginia where we'll fish the Elizabeth River and Chesapeake Bay. Our focus will be on some of the large trout that you'll find here.
